From 320 to 410 Heights Road in Noroton Heights, a short stretch of storefronts has filled up over the past twelve months. It now has nuggets, a bakery, a burrito line, and a milkshake counter that opened with a 10 p.m. close. Down the road at Darien Commons, a Greek taverna is serving dinner. Downtown, the Corbin District's dining lineup was billed for fall 2026. As of October 11, though, the newest places you can actually eat in Darien are mostly on Heights Road.
Here is what is open, what is next, and how far the downtown project has gotten, address by address.
The Heights Crossing run, in order of arrival
Heights Crossing filled in over about five months, and most of it came in a tight window last fall and winter. In the order the businesses opened:
- Raphaël's Bakery, 370 Heights Road. Patch reported on November 10, 2025 that the bakery had recently opened, and it held a grand-opening event on November 16.
- Garden Catering, 320 Heights Road. The nugget shop opened on Monday, November 17, according to Greenwich Free Press. An early preview gave a different street number, but the chain's Darien location page lists 320.
- Chipotle, 330 Heights Road. It opened on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, per Patch.
- MilkShake Factory, 410 Heights Road. It soft-opened in mid-April 2026 and was fully open by May 4. That day Patch listed its hours as noon to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
Food is only part of the shopping center. Patch's December 2025 Chipotle story also listed the Goddard School, Pvolve, Sharkey's Cuts for Kids, and Heights Wines & Spirits as open at Heights Crossing. That tenant list is ten months old, so check a specific storefront before planning around it. Still, it shows a center built for errands as well as meals: a haircut, a workout, and a bottle of wine at the same address where you pick up dinner.
Darien Commons adds the sit-down dinner
Heights Crossing is mostly quick-service and treats. Darien Commons, also on Heights Road, supplies the sit-down dinner.
Seamore's closed its Darien Commons location in early November 2025. In January 2026, CT Insider reported that Lykos Taverna planned to take the space and was aiming for a soft opening with dinner service in mid-February. Darien Commons now lists Lykos as open on its tenant page, which describes fresh seafood and Mediterranean dishes as the focus of the menu. No local outlet has reported the date it actually opened. The Lykos Taverna website takes reservations and lists the address as 110 Heights Road.
That puts a quick lunch, an after-school milkshake, a bakery stop, and a Greek seafood dinner on the same road.
Downtown's opening this year came through a lease swap
Downtown did get one new restaurant this year, and it moved into an existing building.
Duchess announced that February 1, 2026, would be its last day at 306 Post Road. Patch reported in January that a new tenant was lined up for the space. That tenant was Wonder, a food hall concept built around delivery. It held its grand opening on July 16, 2026, according to Patch.
DoChéri, a European chocolate shop, also opened in Darien this year. CT Bites reported that the storefront soft-opened in May. It works well as a dessert stop after dinner, or as a hostess gift that doesn't come from a grocery store.
The big change on the Post Road side of town is still under construction.
What the Corbin District has announced, and what it has confirmed
In March 2026, a Moffly Media feature on the Corbin District put the project's tenant roster under a "Fall 2026" heading. It listed five dining tenants:
- Tatte Bakery & Café, announced as the chain's first Connecticut location, on Corbin Drive
- Chopt
- Millie's
- Hinoki
- Corsica
The retail list in the same feature is longer: Asha, Tuckernuck, Framebridge, Free People Movement, French Presse, Ma copine, OGGI 5, Rhone, and Saujette, plus Barry's as a fitness tenant.
The schedule since then has been loose. The developer's most recent dated post on its construction updates page is from June 1, 2026. It said Tatte had started its build-out a couple of weeks earlier, that other tenants would begin build-outs that month, and that exact opening dates would be shared once they were firmer. It said it hoped shops and restaurants would open later in 2026. Tatte's new locations page lists its Darien address with "Opening 2026" and no month.
Saujette shows how far the dates have moved. In November 2025, CT Insider reported a late-spring 2026 opening target for the shop. Four months later, the Moffly roster listed it with the fall group.
As of October 11, 2026, no source confirms that any announced Corbin District restaurant or shop has opened, and no tenant has published a specific opening date. Fall is the stated goal. For now, the five-restaurant lineup is a plan, not somewhere you can book a table this weekend.
Next up on Heights Road: Romanacci
While the downtown dates stay open, Heights Road has one more opening on a nearer schedule.
Graziano and Maurizio Ricci, the brothers behind the Romanacci restaurants in Fairfield County, are opening an Italian restaurant at 346 Heights Road in Heights Crossing. In March, CT Insider reported it would be the brothers' sixth location, with an early-fall target. On September 30, Patch reported that the brothers had closed their Old Mill Grocery & Deli near Compo Beach in Westport that week to prepare for the Darien opening. Their Railroad Place restaurant in Westport stays open, and the Darien restaurant is scheduled to open "this fall."
No opening date had been announced as of October 11. Once Romanacci opens, 346 Heights Road fills in the stretch between Chipotle at 330 and Raphaël's at 370.
An evening built from what is open now
Here is one way to spend a fall evening using only places that are serving food today:
- Pick up something from Raphaël's Bakery at 370 Heights Road for the next morning.
- Have dinner at Lykos Taverna at Darien Commons, with a reservation through its website.
- If anyone has room, finish at MilkShake Factory at 410 Heights Road, which listed a 10 p.m. close as of its May opening coverage.
- On a night with less time, Wonder at 306 Post Road covers dinner downtown, and DoChéri works for a chocolate stop.
Once the Corbin District's restaurants post opening dates, the downtown version of this list will grow. Until then, Heights Road covers most of it.
The tenants filling Heights Crossing, Darien Commons, and eventually the Corbin District are changing what daily life near each of those addresses looks like, and that affects how buyers weigh a home close to them.
